when these structures do not give allowance
for a chance to reflect on the sacrificial memories and histories
given to us by our ancestors
we lose ourselves when we lost our past
cherish the story passed down to you
and, more importantly, pass down your story too
these stories of the past do not define your path
but they give you the knowledge
the knowledge you need to know
which direction you should go
