Never before have I seen him like this
I did not prepare myself to see tears falling down his face
The image I never imagined I would see
He looked so frail and helpless
I just wanted his pain to be transferred to me
I would bare the burden of this disaster
Just to see a smile on his face
There are no words that could be sufficient
No drugs that will take away the feelings that he's feeling
But through it all, he is still as strong as his soul will allow him to be
And I will continue to be right by his side
Until the day I ultimately have to say goodbye
But farewell is never too long
Because his soul will live on in every breath I breathe
